The French government has signed an agreement with the Albanian authorities to stop the asylum seeking phenomenon.

Top Channel found out some of the details of the agreement signed this July in Paris, during a meting between Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati, Interior Minister Fatmir Xhafaj, with the French Interior Minister, Gerard Collomb.

The Albanian State Police will ask the Montenegrin, Kosovo and Macedonian counterparts who visits an EU country through them, to ask Albanian citizens very thoroughly.

The French authorities want a campaign in Albania for raising awareness about the damage that the country is suffering from this phenomenon.

The action plan requires the TIMS system to flag adults who return to Albania alone after they have accompanied a minor in the Schengen area.

The police also must identify people who have been identified as involved in a blood feud from Northern Albania, for whom there is a national data base.

France will assist the border police logistically and will establish a permanent work group under the care of their Interior Minister.

The French Minister of Interior has declared that he will visit Tirana to watch the progress of the agreement.

A few days ago Top Channel reported that besides a French officer, British and Italian representatives have also arrived to monitor the anti-asylum measures.
