The Supreme State Audit has launched a very harsh report against the
National Food Authority, based on their work for the period January 2012
– December 2016.
The report says that NFA has not been able to guarantee food safety, putting in danger the economic and social life of our citizens.
SSA criticizes the way how NFA operates, saying they don’t have an internal regulation and are not supervised by the respective board.
SSA also adds that the law on food is unclear, since it doesn’t determine the security elements.
