The Energy Distribution Operator (OSHEE) said that for the January-July
period of 2017, their profits increased with 4.2%, compared to last
year.

The company says they collected 37.1 billion ALL in total for these seven months, from 35.6 billion that they collected for the same period of one year ago.

OSHEE dedicates this increase to higher electricity sales and also to better administration.

Data show that the lost energy was also lower, at 28.1%, as compared to 28.6% of one year ago.

The dropping pace of losses is lower this year, however. OSHEE blames the agreement made between the Prime Minister and opposition leader during the elections, which had the company leaders replaced.

According to the data, energy losses in June increased to 28.1% from 24.4% that it was last June. But now in July they are back on track, OSHEE says.

The company adds that they have reduced bad loans and delayed obligations. This debt, mainly created in the 2007-2017 period, reached its peak at 68.7 billion ALL. But by the end of the seventh month of this year, according to OSHEE, delayed debts that consumers have dropped to 49.7 billion ALL.
