Brunilda Paskali, Vice Mayor of Tirana with the Socialist Movement for
Integration, resigned one day after the council voted the decision to
raise tap water price.

Paskali said that this decision comes due to the individual partnership of SMI councilors with the Socialist Party.

“The institutional cooperation between the SMI and Socialist Party was replaced by the individual partnership of two councilors who voted against the stance of the SMI. Our mission in opposition obliges me to resign, as a moral obligation to citizens who trusted our party”, Paskali declared.
