Eduard Selami declared on Top Story that Lulzim Basha started the
protest inside the tent, in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, and
also the Parliament’s Boycott, just to block the judiciary reform.

According to Selami, this is what put the international partners against the Democratic Party.

“”Basha put us in a position against the western allies. He said that he was trapped by Americans and Germans for the agreement with the Socialist Party. It is not true. Basha used the tent to block the judiciary reform. The cause of the tent was not sincere. He entered the tent like that and we never learned how he went out if it. He doesn’t even have a signed contract with Mr.Rama”, Selami said.

Selami added that if it wasn’t for Berisha, Basha would have resigned.

“Berisha kept Basha as leader, or he would hav resigned. Basha’s model is just a shadow of Berisha, and it cannot be repeated. The fact is that in the past elections Basha suffered the deepest losses. He cannot be on top of the DP”, Selami said.

The candidate who is running for leader of the biggest party in opposition said that the DP is facing a crisis, and part of this crisis is the lack of equality in a race.

Selemi said that he guarantees unification in the Democratic Party, and that his model has wide support, even from groups who are against the race.

“Patozi and the others who are against the race have nothing against me, nothing against my mdoel. They support me and they tell me I cannot win”, he added.

Selami said that Basha did not keep his promise to hold debates during this race.

“We discussed to have debates and we even thought about appointing a moderator. He didn’t keep this promise and didn’t even allow media outlets to enter the meetings. Basha refused debate but behind closed doors we have made very harsh debates, similar to those in Shkoder”, Selami added.
