The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, was selected among top 40 mayors chosen for
the Leadership Initiative program held in New York, under the care of
Michael Bloomberg, NYC Mayor.
This initiative is organized by Bloomberg Philantropies, Harward Business School and Harward Kenney School.
It is the world’s first effort increase cooperation and exchange good local governning practices.
This forum has successful Mayors from cities such as Washington DC, Warsaw, Vilnus, Stockholm, etc.
Mayors discussed local government challenges and possibilities to use innovation for facilitating service to citizens.
This initiative allows participants to benefit development grants from Bloomberg Philanthropies.
