The European MP, Eduard Kukan, thinks that the June 25th elections are a small step forward.

“I make my comparisons with the past elections, which I have followed clsoely. I think that these are the best ones”, said for Deutsche Welle the Chairman of the European Parliament Delegation for Albania.

“This is a race with winners and losers, that’s why some of them are happy with the numbers. Others are facing figures there weren’t expecting. But that’s political activity. Now, winners and losers alike must keep a calm climate. People in commissions must have the possibility to do their job better and quicker”, Kukan said.

“The situation was calmer this time, thanks to the agreement between the position and opposition. I repeat, Albania needs a calm climate to face the elections. This creates security among people”, Kukan said, adding that the winners must start immediately to realize their promises. He expects the opposition to not boycott the institutions.
