The ballot counting process has concluded in 5 districts, while there
are still a few boxes to be counted. However, the result cannot change
negatively for the Socialist Party. It can only change positively.

Five parties will be part of Albania’s new Parliament, the Social-Democratic represented by Tom Doshi in Shkoder, which was a surprise.

So far, the Socialist Party has secured 73 seats and is working for two others with PJIU in Tirana and with the DP in Shkoder.

Result with 92% of ballots counted:
SP: 701,815 ballots or 48.28% — 74 seats
DP: 416,957 ballots or 28.68% — 43 seats
SMI: 210,436 ballots or 14.48% — 19 seats
PJIU: 67,944 ballots or 4.67% — 3 seats
PSD: 12,677 ballots or 0.87% — 1 seat
