OSCE-ODIHR presented the preliminary report for elections in our
country. According to the OSCE, the accusations for vote purchase
reduced the public trust on the process.

“Many poll stations didn’t respect the procedures. There were delays and irregularities. The ballot count was delayed in many places”, said the Italian representative of OSCE-ODIHR, who added that Albania can do better.

European MP, Eduard Kukan, declared: “We are responsible for the importance of this race, which is a decisive step for Albania. We are encouraged by the political encouragements which made the Democratic Party participate. We want the result to be recognized by anyone, which is key for the Democratic process”.

Kukan added that they support Albania’s EU integration, as long as the priorities are fulfilled. “The new government must continue with reforms”, Kukan said.
