After a 24-year-long career, Judge Majlinda Andrea faced her colleagues
as she was sentenced to four years in prison over corruption charges.

However, Andrea will not serve her sentence in prison. She will be on probation for the next three years, and will be stripped off the right to work for the public administration for the next five years. Her lawyer, Theodhori Sollaku, said that they would challenge the verdict at the Constitutional Court.

Her husband, Odhisea Andrea, former adviser at the National Security Commission, was sentenced to one year and a half in prison, and stripped of the right to work for the public administration for five years.

Petraq Dashi and Ilia Cabiri were found guilty and sentenced to 1.5 years in prison. Eleni Linos also had her prison sentence converted to probation. The 50.000 EUR corruptive affair was discovered after authorities spied the phones of Cabiri, Dashi and Eleni, discussing to pay Andrea in exchange of an abusive verdict on a Butrint property.
