The Verification Commission of the Vetting Law Candidates didn’t lose
time after the opposition’s members were voted in Parliament, but
started reviewing the 193 applicants who are running for 25 vacancies in
the mechanism that will be vetting judges and prosecutors in the
future.

Within 10 days, the six Parliament Members of the majority and opposition must produce a single list with the candidates who pass the verification commission test. The final list will be voted in Parliament, according to the Chairman of this commission, Ulsi Manja.

The law foresees hearing sessions for 193 candidates, paying maximal attention to the transparency of the process.

“Transparency is essential for this process, so that we can remove any doubt. The reasons for disqualifications must be known in time, so that they can continue with the appealing process”, said Bylykbashi from the Democratic Party.
