After the Vetting Law passed last night at the Albanian Parliament,
Prime Minister Edi Rama said giving some ministries to the opposition
was the least he could do to bring Democratic Party back in Parliament
and unblock the Vetting Law.

Rama said that the second important part of the agreement is having uncontested elections, and having both bigger parties in Brussels, for demanding the accession negotiations.

“Having the opposition vote the Vetting Law with us, giving them access to the government was the leat we could do. This is a process made by Albanians, starting from party representatives, and then will continue through independent experts who will monitor the entire process, with a constitutional mandate, together with our international friends and partners, a group of European and US Judges and Prosecutors. I guarantee you that Albanians will see the much awaited results”, Rama said.
