The Albanian Foreign Ministry condemned the use of violence inside the
Macedonian Parliament, saying that violence doesn’t help with the
situation.

The Foreign Minister appeals political actors in Macedonia to show self-restraint and not use techniques that could deteriorate the situation.

“We also appeal law-enforcing forces to engage and preserve the public order and security for all citizens of Macedonia, who are looking forward to overcome the crisis and continue with the process of forming institutions that will serve to their common good, inter-ethnic co-existence and progress with the Euro-Atlantic cooperation”, the communication says.

The MFA supported the appeal of EU and USA ambassadors to avoid violence and start a stable dialogue in Macedonia.

Albanian Speaker, Ilir Meta, also expressed great concern over the recent events in Macedonia and the situation there.

He appeals and urges Macedonian authorities to distance themselves from violence, taking immediate measures to stop the violence and its consequences.

For Meta, Macedonia’s stability remains highly important and crucial to the stability and security of the Balkans and its future.

In these crucial and critical moments for Macedonia and the region, all we need is prudence, serenity, political dialogue and actions that will serve to restore social peace and normalize the situation.
