The leader of the Party for Law and Justice, Spartak Ngjela, insisted
with his idea that the true reason for the opposition’s protest is fear
from the judiciary reform and the Vetting Law.

“This protest is not for elections. Elections have a constitutional, not populist character. I don’t know any government which was resigned before elections, and I don’t think this Priem Minister is that stupid. This is a condition set by Sali Berisha, because their problem is with the judiciary reform. Three quarters of them are accused of corruption. This is not an opposition. They were in power and were removed from power because of corruption. Berisha feels endangered by the judiciary reform, together with his followers. If there was an option for resignation, it would have been requested by Washington, Berlin or Brussels. Berisha’s condition is not realizable. The date of elections is Constitutional, and the Prime Minister is constitutional. The man asking today for free and fair elections has manipulated three elections”, he declared on Top Story.

Ngjela said that a big opposition party would not fear a competition, but they would defend the vote. He added that the date of elections cannot be changed, and the only solution is for the Democratic Party to change its leadership.
