The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, met with the young voters of
Gjirokaster and said they should vote for the Socialist Party to not
allow the tragic history of 20 years ago, and not allow them to close
the path of justice.

“Chose between Europe and the protest tent”, Rama said.

But Lulzim Basha, who has decided to escalate the protest this Monday by blocking national roads, rejected the accusations of the Prime Minister.

“He speaks today about 1997, but no one will do a ’97 for your sorry face. However, we are totally determined to take the battle to the end, with victory in our favor, without breaking a single glass, without ruining a single flower. Peaceful and democratic until the end”, Basha said.

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, said that if we want to increase employment, we need the Vetting Law to fire corrupted judges and prosecutors who are tied with the people who are protesting in the tent to escape justice.

Lulzim Basha also said that the Vetting Law is a key matter for them, but he says it should be implemented by a technical government. “They don’t answer about the Vetting offer, because they fear independent judges and prosecutors”, Basha said.

He accused the Prime Minister of taking to failure negotiations before the arrival of European mediators in Tirana, in order to preserve his power with crime.

Rama, on the other side, said that the June 18th elections are not about how many votes will be for the Socialist Party, but how many hits will be given against corrupted judges and prosecutors.
