Former MP Mark Frroku is sentenced to 7.5 years in prison. The Court of
Tirana found him guilty for three charges, but not for murder, which was
the most severe.
Frroku was found not guilty for the murder of Alexander Kurti in 1990, in Belgium, but he was found guilty for hiding assets, money laundering and illegal construction.
Frroku’s lawyer said that they will challenge the verdict at the Court of Appeal, and will realize a new calculation of his assets, since the expertise taken into consideration by the Court of First Instance falls against the law.
