Foreign investments, plans for attracing high-tech production lines

There are more than 15 huge projects that are being assisted by the
Development Agency of Investments, mounting up to 1 billion EUR.
“In fact, it is more than 1 billion EUR. If they are materialized by the second half of this year, I believe that level of direct foreign investments will very close to that of the past year”, declared for Top Channel the director of this agency, Genti Beqiri.
He underlined that the projects are focused in manufacture and production of automobile parts. Several companies are eyeing Balkan, after they have left developed countries.
“There is a tendency for moving automobile manufacture from Central Europe to Balkan countries, and Albania has good chances”, Beqiri declared.
However, he adds that Albania needs political stability to win regional races for these investments.
“If we have political and economic stability, and if the judiciary reform proess concludes in time these opportunities could turn into reality very soon”, Beqiri declared.
