Basha in Malta: “Fair elections and decriminalization”

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, present at the European
Popular Parties congress in Malta, spoke about the protest held by the
opposition which, according to Basha, aims to guarantee free and
democratic elections.
“Fair elections are a necessity, since we are a country that is working to be part of the EU. According to him, this cannot be achieved without a technical government that can implement the decriminalization process”, Basha said.
“The opposition started a protest on February 18th, because Albanian politics is deeply tied with the organized crime, and we cannot have fair elections without a technical government that can implement the decriminalization law and clean politics”, Basha said, among other things.
