Basha at EPP congress, meets Hungarian PM Orban

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, is attending the Congress of
European Popular Parties in Malta, where he met with the Hungarian Prime
Minister, Viktor Orban.

According to an announcement of the Democratic Party, Basha and Orban discussed the recent political developments in Albania and the threat of free and fair elections, coming from organized crime and drug money related to politicians.

Basha informed the Hungarian Prime Minister about the cause of the Democratic Party, for their requests for free and fair elections, and for a technical government, which, according to him, would implement the decriminalization law, would fight drug and dirty money, by creating the necessary conditions for free and fair elections.

The DP announcement says that Orban declared his full support of his party for the action of the Albanian opposition, which aims to guarantee free and fair elections in Albania.
