Tirana’s new main square will be ready for its citizens by the end of May, says Gent Agolli, project coordinator.
The Skenderbej square is paved with stone gathered from 34 different places from Albania to Kosovo. Most of them will be constantly covered by water, creating a variety of colors. This entire area will be surrounded by 95 different types of trees and decorative bushes.
The square will be exclusive to pedestrians, and it will have proportions similar to squares in many European cities.
