Prosecutors asked the Court to block the passport of Israeli citizen,
Yoram Frig, who is under investigation for abusing with spying equipments.

The main argument of the opposition is the necessity to investigate the “Oscor Emni Spectral Corelator” equipment, which was found on the 51-year-old while he was leaving Tirana through the Rinas airport.

This request by the Prosecution means that the Israeli citizen, known in his country as a private detective, is not allowed to leave Albania until his situation is clarified.

Frig said he had arrived in Albania four times, recently by request of a politician who is also a businessman, and who wanted to learn if he was being spied.

The Tirana Prosecutors are also verifying if the Customs authorities need to issue any kind of permit for such equipment. Frig has not declared it as a possession when crossing the border with Albania.
