Tirana Mayor: Vetting Law frees 40% of our city projects from corrupted courts

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, said corruption in courts has blocked
40 projects of the Tirana Municipality, that’s why the Vetting Law of
the Judiciary Reform is indispensable.
“We have started 100 construction sites, 40 which are blocked by court orders that simply take measures against the works done by the municipality. One ‘tough guy’ can pay a First Instance Court judge today, and 40% of these sites get blocked”, Veliaj said.
