The Tirana Police filed a criminal report against the Democratic Party
leader, Lulzim Basha, for making public appeals to violence.

Basha appealed citizens this Friday to react violently against state institutions.

“There will be war. Slash their tires. Break their windows. It’s time to drag them on this square”, Basha said on February 24th.

The report is made based on article 223 of the Criminal Code: “Public appeals for violent acts against the constitutional order are punished by fine or up to three years in prison”.
