BDI to help form next Macedonian government by staying in opposition?

One day after Zoran Zaev, leader of the LSDM, declared that by March
they could create a government with the Albanian party, BDI, the latter
gathered its leadership to discuss a new option.

The BDI spokesperson said they may give support to Zoran Zaev without being involved in the new government, by staying in opposition.

“This norm has been proved in European countries, with a minority government. BDI is studying the option to give support in Parliament, but without becoming part of the new government. These things will be discussed after regulating the law for the usage of Albanian as second language”, said the BDI Spokesperson, Bujar Osmani.

The condition for having Albanian as second official language in Macedonia remains unchanged.

Osmani also said they haven’t withdrawn from their request to extend the term of the Special Prosecution.
