The Serbian President, Tomislav Nikolic, said Serbs are ready to fulfill every condition for the EU, except for Kosovo.
In an interview for the Serbian public television, Nikolic said no EU official, except for Hahn, has never made this condition clear to Belgrade.
Nikolic admitted that the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighboring, Johannes Hahn, had made it clear that Serbia would not be part of the EU without having a good neighboring agreement with Kosovo. For Nikolic, this would mean recognizing Kosovo’s independence.
