Serbia lost final battle against Kosovo’s UEFA recognition

The appeal made by the Serbian Football Federation against the accession of the Kosovo Football Federation was rejected this Tuesday by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Serbia claimed that Kosovo’s accession was illegal and against the regulation.
Kosovo was admitted by UEFA on May 2016, and a few weeks later by FIFA too.
Both admissions were followed by Kosovo being part of the World Cup qualification matches, and two of its local teams played for European championships.
