The Greek Foreign Minister, Nikos said that being the biggest economy in
Balkan, despite the current crises, Greece has its diplomatic potential
to face the growing nationalism in some neighbors, which, according to
him, were reformed as nations in the past decades.

“When Albania thought they could walk easily towards the EU, because Greece allowed them the candidate status without any exchange, they also thought they would open the accession negotiations without any conditions. But they should not play with nationalism, they should not say non-serious things, and we reminded them of that”, Kotzias said.

As for the burning of the Greek flag in Dropull, Kotzias said Greece condemns these incidents, but they should not turn into important objects of the Foreign Policy.

Kotzias reiterated that Greece wants to resolve its problems with all neighbors, but based on international and European laws.
