Seven Greek soldiers held, scrutinized, criminally prosecuted for making Albanian symbol

The Greek Minister of Defense wants maximal punishment for the seven
Greek soldiers of Albanian origin who had a picture taken with their
hands making the symbol of the Albanian eagle.

The press office of the Ministry of Defense says that the Minister wants the soldiers to be punished as never before, to avoid having these acts in the future.

Sources from the Ministry of Defense say the seven soldiers were stopped and taken for interrogation about their actions.

Their cell phones have also been seized, based on an urgent order of this Ministry. They young men will be sent to the Ioannina regiment, where they will be held under surveillance.

Due to media reactions and Greek politics, the case has taken higher proportions than expected, forcing the military prosecution to open an investigation.

The seven soldiers will be interrogated by the Prosecution as defendants, and they even risk five years in prison.
