A 150-million-USD joint project between the Albanian government and the
World Bank will hire four companies to maintain 1300 kilometers of
national roads in northern, northeastern, central-southeastern and
southern Albania.

Top Channel has learned that the Road Authority has finalized the tenders for three of the companies, and is about to sing the contracts.

Official sources from the road authority says that these companies will have to maintain and invest on the roads for five years, especially for correcting dangerous parts.

The World Bank will fund half of the value, and calculates that road accidents may be reduced with 15%.
