The “Pyramid”, former museum of Albania’s communist dictator, Enver Hoxha, will turn into an open space for the public.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, said that the Pyramid will not be given in concession and there will be no private investments on it.

“The Pyramid will be open to the public, and, from now on, we will have a ‘night mayor’. Cities that live 24 hours a day have a better economy, and that’s why we want a city that generates profits even by night. We will have a staff that will be welcoming this space for displays, shows and concerts”, Mayor Veliaj said.

Vini mas, an architect from the MVRD, gave the idea to turn the Pyramid into a public space, part of which will be used for paintings, and the rest for music, theaters and other shows.
