The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, was invited in the ceremony
organized by the Heritage Foundation for the Inauguration of President
Trump.
The opposition leader met with high-level personalities and collaborators of President Trump, members of the US Congress and Senate.
The DP leader met with New Gingrich, a close Trump Adviser. Basha said that US elections are an inspiration for Albania too, for unifying citizens and raising trust on democracy, on the free vote, which will not be defeated by any alliance that goes against the citizens’ interest.
The opposition leader was invited in a work lunch by Congressman and Chairman of the Commission for Europe, Dana Rohrabacher, good connoisseur of developments in Albania, and supporter of our country.
The opposition leader told the Congressman that Albania needs US support in a time when democratic standards have been damaged.
