Constitutional Court published arguments for Vetting Law

The Constitutional Court of Albania published the legal arguments for
the verdict issued by them on December 22nd, when they rejected the
request of the Democratic Party for repealing the Vetting Law.
Today’s release also has the opinions of two judges who voted in favor of the DP request, Gani Dizdari and Besnik Ymeraj.
The verdict finds as unfounded claims that this law damages power division principles. DP has not specified to what extent are the Constitutional rights violated.
The Vetting law will implemented right after it is published on the Official Bulletin. In the meanwhile, an international monitoring mission will arrive in Tirana, made of foreign judges with more than 15 years of experience.
