New evidence in the Austrian football show how players of Albanian
origin are involved in match fixing. A former football player from
Germany was sentenced this Thursday. He said Albanian persons had
contacted him to organize match fixing and obtain illegal profits.

The case was started in 2014, and also brought a sentence for Dominik Taboga and Zanel Kuljic, accused of trying to fix at least ten matches in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Two of the matches were fixed in October 2010, and another on in December 2011. A witness said he had served as translator for the fixing communication, and was present during an exchange of a suitcase full of money, which was given to the wife of an Albanian football agent.
