The Durres Prosecution has seized 45.000 square meters in Drac, Ishem,
after a court verdict ruled that it belonged to Pal Selcuni.

The Prosecution has suspicions that Selcuni took this property through falsified documents. The land set for building a tourist resort of 450 million EUR was given to Selcuni in 2016, and the Durres Municipality has recognized him as owner.

The Prosecution started the investigation after the Lebanese investor, Fadi Mitri, was beaten by unknwon persons. Mitri had a rent contract with the government of Albania for developing this property.

The Prosecution of Tirana is investigating his attack, since Pal Selcuni has had a physical confrontation even in 2011, with other citizens whose property was bordered with his.

In 2014, Selcuni has sued Mitri for taking his land, but the Prosecution did not start the investigation, because Omnix had a rent agreement with the government.

There are two suspicions that Selcuni has appropriated the land will forged documents, in cooperation with the Durres Municipality.

Prosecutors will also verify why both parties have been absent in the last trial session and why no appeal was made for the verdict that recognized Selcuni as owner.
