4 border police officers have been involved in the investigations for the death of the Russian tourist in Himara. Sources from Vlora Prosecutor Office told Top Channel that the four officers are being investigated for power abuse but their names remain confidential.

Up to now investigations showed the suspect Fatmir Kuçi who hit the Russian tourist, did not have sailing permit for his speedboat while police officers should not have let him sail. The sole testimony of the incident is the son of Kuçi, 13, who was wandering with a jet ski near his father boat. Asked about the incident by police and psychologist he said only to have seen his father get a body from the water.  Police also found blood signs in the speedboat but Kuçi argues that they were made when he took the body of the injured Russian tourist onboard.

On Friday, Fatmir Kuçi was transferred from detention to the hospital because showed symptoms of heart problems, while on Saturday, the court is expected to rule on his custody terms as he is accused of manslaughter.
