The forum listed the justice systems of 139 world economies, using three indicators: “Independence, efficiency in resolving trade conflicts, and efficiency of public institutions and its regulations”.

Albania is listed 119th in a list of 139 countries. From all Balkan countries, according to this report, only Serbia has a justice system less independent than Albania. All other countries are listed better.

For the second indicator, the efficiency in resolving trade conflicts, Albania is listed 120th, leaving behind only 19 countries in the world.

For the third indicator, spaces created by the system for challenging arbitrary decisions of public institutions and governments, Albania is listed slightly better, but it still is 108th.

The World Economic Forum is the last document which underlines the Justice System problems in Albania. The IMF declared that improvement of the justice system and of property rights will be critical for the economy.
