“Skenderbeu” suspended from Champions League

The Court of Arbitration for Sports in Lausanne, Switzerland, has
rejected this Wednesday the appeal filed by the Skenderbeu Sport Club
who challenged a verdict issued by the UEFA Court of Appeal on June 1st.
The UEFA verdict removes their right to be part of the Champions League qualifications due accusations for tricked matches.
Skenderbeu expected CAS to overrule the UEFA decision and give them the right to compete, without being able to secure a positive decision.
The parties involved in the process had agreed to extend the Arbitration Procedures with a hearing session on July 4th, Lausanne, But the appeal was rejected by the CAS panel.
