Vlahutin: “Justice reform, a chance that should not be lost”

The National Council of Integration held a meeting today, with the
participation of the EU ambassador in our country, Romana Vlahutin.
She reiterated the request that the reform should be approved as soon as possible, since it passes the recommendation for starting the accession negotiations with the EU.
“I hope that the reform will be approved soon. This is a good opportunity to take the recommendation for opening the negotiations. Unfortunately, your country has lost many chances for state-building, modernization. This has not been your choice, but this work should continue in this moment. This is your choice”, she declared.
The EU ambassador said that Albania is not alone in this path. “We are here to support you with our experience. We are interested for Albania, and I believe you know that we are not alone in this path towards the EU. We will not give up, we will not get tired and will not lose interest. You have full support. Let’s try to make our job as good as possible”, Vlahutin said.
