Opposition leader visits the USA

The Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, started a visit in the USA to
meet US politicians, accompanied by MPs Gent Strazmiri, Jorida Tabaku,
Eduart Selami and Fatmir Mediu. This visit coincides with the 25-th
anniversary of the reestablishment of the relations between the USA and
Albania.
The challenge of Albania for building a functional democracy and for establishing rule of law, fair elections and justice reform, will be the focus of the opposition leader in these meetings.
Basha will meet with high-level US officials to discuss concerns regarding the stances of the DP for taking Albania out of the crisis and for the governing alternative of the DP.
