Eichhorst meets Meta: “No accession negotiations without reform”

Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta met with Angelina Eichhorst, EU responsible
for matters between Western Europe, Western Balkan and Turkey.
Eichhorst was accompanied by the EU ambassador to Tirana, Romana
Vlahutin.
Eichhorst reiterated the importance of justice reform and said that a successful realization is important for opening the accession negotiations between Albania and the EU.
Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta was on the same line. He said that Albanians need a reform that will produce tangible results in terrain and in the fight against corruption and organized crime, and which will help creating a stable long-term justice system.
He thanked the EU for the constant reform, for a reform that is considered as the most important for Albania.
