The Chairman of the Commission of Laws, Fatmir Xhafaj, declared this
Thursday that the Albanian political class has the right base to push
forward the justice refom.
Referring to the preliminary report of the Commission of Venice, Xhafaj said that the international assistance had a key role in this process.
“We value the extraordinary role of the international expertise in this extraordinary process. The reform was held through an all-inclusive and transparent process”, Xhafaj said, greeting the stance of the DP in favor of the Venice Commission report.
“This report should serve as the solid base of the justice reform. We will continue with serious commitment the work that has been done so far”, said the Chairman of the Commission of Laws.
He concluded the declaration by welcoming what he called “the train of justice and reform”. As for the interest of the media, Xhafaj added that the protests of lawyers and judges are invalid, since they have asked several times to make their propositions that will then be presented at the Venice Commission.
