Durres Police Department and the agents from Kruje and Fushe Kruje
police departments seized a big amount of ammunition in an area of Zelle
village, in Fushe Kruje.
The ammunition consists of 3000 AK47 bullets and 75 kg of TNT dynamite with fuses, more than 10 antitank mines and 2 antitank grenade launchers.
Police has also accompanied a person that was suspected as the owner of this ammunition.
The ammunition and explosives were found in the village where the police is looking for the authors of several explosions that were set off around this village against the cement factory.
Since two months, almost every week, unidentified persons have blown up electric posts that supply energy to the cement factory, two bridges that connect this factory with national roads and one railway that is used by the same factory.
Durres Police Department that covers the area notified of having arrested five suspects.
These events seem to be connected with the compensation that the factory used to give to some residents of Zalle village. The attacks that started right after the factory ceased to give this payment, seem to be some kind of blackmail for financial profits.
The police has not declared yet if the ammunition is connected to the events that happened lately, but the seized dynamite is undergoing investigations for discovering the authors of these acts.
