Ymer Pampuri, world record breaker at the Munich Olympics Games of 1972, died today after a sudden heart attack.
In 1972, at the Munich Olympic games, the 27-year-old weightlifter of Tirana’s team “17 Nentori” broke the world record of Yoshinobu Miyake, lifting 127.5 kg.
Besides medals and titles, he also received ” Master of Hard Work”, and “Naim Frasheri 1st Order”. He quit weightlifting in 1981.
