New Kosovo’s President, expected to be elected later this day, is Atifete Jahjaga, currently the second person in charge of the Kosovo Police.
Her name has been publicly mentioned when she was proposed as General Director of the Kosovo’s new State Police.
Jahjaga’s current duty is paid of 1000 Euros per month and she holds the military grade of colonel, achieved after the grades of “sergeant” and “major”.
Jahjaga was graduated as a lawyer, and she started her police career as translator. Then she worked for the Border Police unit and the Police Training Department.
She has achieved many specializations, one of which in the USA, in one section of FBI.
She is known to the media for the photo taken with American President George W. Bush in Washington, while she has also met the US State Secretary Hilary Clinton during her visit in Kosovo.
