The US President, Donald Trump, was asked by journalist Tucker Carlson on Fox News one day ago about the role of NATO and that in case of a war in Balkans, why should his son go and fight for, let’s say, Montenegro, or even Albania.

“They are very strong people. They are very aggressive. They may get aggressive and congratulations, you’re in War World III. I understand that, but that’s the way it was set up [NATO]”, Trump said.

The interview on Fox News came a few days after Trump’s meetings with the Russian President Vladimir Putin and the NATO members at a summit.

Trump said that both meetings were very successful, underlining that only thanks to his persistence, now all member countries are paying more for NATO and that the organization now has 44 billion USD more in the budget.
