A temporary filtering system, built by Ministry of Environment specialists, aims to avoid wastewaters discharges to sea.
Environment Minister Mediu and several specialist that have projected this simple filtering system, inspected the works near the “Perroi i Agait”, one of the canals that discharges wastewaters to sea.
These systems were placed in five hottest discharging points, in one of which the specialists explained how this temporary filters work.
This cleaning system aims to reduce bacterial pollution until the construction of the collector that should gather all wastewaters of Durres-Kavaja coastline. The construction should have finished, but several delays have obliged the Environment Ministry to find a temporary solution.
