Veliaj receives award, “Tirana, a friendly city for sport”

A few weeks ago, the British newspaper “the Guardian” considered Tirana one of the friendliest cities with children. This evaluation was based on the investments made by the municipality for improving the infrastructure dedicated to them.
Another award has arrived for the municipality, this time from a specialized institution, the European Federation of Athletics, which considers Tirana a friendly city for sport lovers.
The award was given by the President of the European Athletics, Svein Arne Hansen, who was received today by Mayor Veliaj.
In this meeting, he greeted the positive changes that took place in Tirana, and handed over the award for everything done for the sport and athletics.
