Vangjeli: Problems with voters’ lists

Lorenc Vangjeli said that on the verge of May 8th local elections, there are grave problems with the voters’ list.
The analyst emphasized on Top Channel’s program “Top Story” that it is extremely important for Albania to realize free and honest elections.
“When the preliminary voters’ list were finished, same people resulted in many electoral areas. These persons were from the northern Albania. Part of these mistakes were corrected, but another phenomenon has happened: the citizens’ movement from one area to another”, Vangjeli declared.
“There are families that according to documents live in garages. A cattle cottage in Tepelena is registered as residence of 36 persons, as shown at Top Channel’s program ‘Fiks Fare’. In 2001 there was another electoral massacre. This time, Albania should perform honest and free elections. In 2009 there have been concrete accusations and I don’t think that we, as Albanians, deserve this kind of governing. Only the communist mentality sees vote as a way that guarantees power”, Vangjeli underlined.
