US Embassy reacts about situation at the Court of Serious Crimes

A few hours before the court session for Emiljano Shullazi at the Court of Serious Crimes, the US Embassy in Tirana reacted and said that the Albanian people deserve a justice system in which the police and prosecutors stand together against criminals, while they offered support to courageous prosecutors even in dangerous cases.

This reaction comes in a time when the situation at the Prosecution of Serious Crimes is tense, as some prosecutors refused to accept the case of Shullazi.

The Prosecutor General intervened and took disciplinary measures against these prosecutors, transferring them to courts outside the capital.

The Prosecution of Serious Crimes has already selected the four prosecutors who will lead the trial against Shullazi, but their names are kept secret until tomorrow.
