Since yesterday, the members of Zonal Election Commission 49 (ZEC) have
had many disagreements for the final signature on the vote summary
protocol, after finishing the vote counting process.
Four members of the Democratic Party (DP), who have the majority in this ZEC, have refused to sign, because, according to them, the protocol contains spelling errors. The same situation went on today, blocking the counting process of the ballot boxes for the Municipal Unit leaders.
The disagreements for the final result will be discussed at the Central Election Commission, with a document attached to it which states the complaints of the DP commissioners of this ZEC.
Mrs. Blerina Gjylameti explains that in this moment the case will pass to the competences of the Central Election Commission, and all that the commissioners are doing, is submitting the documentation and leaving CEC to decide if the summary will be approved or not.
